This must be the first riddle we learn as children and, of course, the answer is a newspaper. Rather than newspapers, however, the black and white and red we are talking about creates vibrant and dramatic home decor.
Black, white and red is also hot fashion as well, as indicated by Project Runway's selection of Seth Aaron Henderson as the winning designer for this season. If you watched the final episode last week, you saw that his fashion collection presented at Bryant Park during fashion week was mainly black and white with touches of red. Even the Mercedes-Benz-sponsored star lounge designed by Mitchell Gold and Bob Williams was dramatic in black, white and red.
Maitland-Smith created its own drama during the October furniture market with the customized shelter chair, completely lined in vibrant red with black and white faux zebra hairhide on the sides and back of the chair.
Drama indeed.

We continued the black and red theme this market with this stunning Asian-inspired lamp. The base is black lacquer and the shade is hand-sewn silk. (1746-570).
Red is stimulating and powerful and grabs peoples attention. If you need to wake up a tired room or add a touch of drama, you might consider adding a touch of red.
